The wind tunnel is located in Ocean County NJ & was built as a research tool, both to develop & explore solutions to coastal change, but also with adaptability in mind for future-use within other disciplines as well for use as a learning tool for local high school students.

Designed based off of a previous wind tunnel that was at the O.H. Hinsdale Wave Research Lab of Oregon State University.
The proposal to build this wind tunnel & conduct research related to coastal geomorphology addressed four of the six Prioritized Resource Management Challenges identified at the October 2015 ASBPA Coastal Dune Workshop in Kitty Hawk, NC.
